My recent trip to Napoli was a mesmerizing start to an unforgettable journey through Italy. The city, with its vibrant streets and rich history, served as the perfect gateway to the stunning Amalfi Coast. After exploring Napoliโs bustling markets and indulging in authentic Neapolitan pizza, I eagerly continued my adventure toward the coast.
First stop: Sorrento. The drive along the winding coastal roads offered breathtaking views of the deep blue Mediterranean Sea, with cliffs plunging dramatically into the water. Sorrento, perched on the edge of these cliffs, is a charming town that exudes a laid-back elegance. I spent my time wandering through the narrow streets lined with lemon trees and enjoying the warm hospitality of the locals. The sunset over the Bay of Naples was particularly spectacular, painting the sky with shades of pink and orange.
From Sorrento, I sailed towards Positano, a gem of the Amalfi Coast. Approaching this picturesque town by boat was a surreal experience. The colorful houses clinging to the steep cliffs seemed almost like a painting, with vibrant bougainvillea cascading down the terraces. The view from the water is simply incomparable, offering a perspective that truly captures the essence of Positanoโs beauty. Once ashore, I spent the day exploring Positanoโs steep streets, lined with boutiques, cafes, and art galleries. Every corner of this town seems to offer a postcard-perfect view. The combination of the azure sea, the bright buildings, and the lush greenery creates a visual feast that is hard to match.
This journey is part of my broader Italy tour, where Iโm collaborating with Lovin Malta to share these travel experiences through videos. Exploring this region by both land and sea has allowed me to capture the true spirit of the Amalfi Coast, and I canโt wait to share this beauty with everyone.
