There are restaurants you visit — and there are restaurants where you are welcomed into a vision. During my recent stay in Monte-Carlo, I had the privilege of experiencing the degustation menu at La Table d’Antonio Salvatore au Rampoldi, following a personal invitation from Chef Antonio Salvatore.
Located in the heart of Monte-Carlo, this Michelin-starred address is a serious place devoted to precision, elegance, and culinary identity. With its intimate setting and refined rhythm, the restaurant reflects quiet confidence — the kind that comes from knowing exactly who you are and what you stand for.
Chef Antonio’s cuisine presents a refined dialogue between Italian heritage and contemporary technique. Each course unfolded with clarity and intention: clean flavors, impeccable execution, and a deep respect for seasonal ingredients. It is cooking that does not seek attention, yet effortlessly commands it.
Throughout the evening, the experience revealed itself as more than a tasting menu — it was a journey shaped by discipline, creativity, and emotional connection to the craft.
During our meeting, I had the pleasure of presenting Chef Antonio with my book, A Taste of Two Homes, a project reflecting my journey between Malta and Italy. Sharing it in Monte-Carlo, within a space built on passion and excellence, felt particularly meaningful.
What elevates this restaurant beyond fine dining is the harmony of the entire team. Service flows with elegance, timing is precise, and every detail contributes to an experience that feels complete rather than constructed.
A remarkable place created by the chef and his exceptional team.
Thank you for the trust and the invitation. I will definitely return.
