There is something about Iniala Harbour House that has always felt a little different to me. Perhaps it is the design, perhaps it is the setting overlooking the Grand Harbour, but more than anything, it is the feeling of being somewhere that genuinely wants to create an experience rather than simply provide a room for the night.

Over the years, I have had the pleasure of building a great relationship with Iniala and the people behind it, and that makes returning particularly special. It feels less like visiting a hotel and more like reconnecting with a place I have watched evolve.

Iniala is also part of something much bigger happening in Malta. Our hospitality scene is changing. New hotels, restaurants and concepts are arriving, expectations are becoming higher, and Malta is slowly developing a more confident identity as a destination for contemporary hospitality. Iniala has been an important part of that movement, showing that a Maltese address can be bold, design-led and genuinely international while still feeling connected to the island.

What I particularly appreciate is that the story is not finished. Malta is still growing, and so is Iniala. There is a sense that the best is still ahead, which makes it exciting to follow.

For me, the Harbour House represents a side of Malta that I have always wanted to see more of: thoughtful, ambitious and personal. It is luxury, certainly, but it is not simply about beautiful interiors or impressive views. It is about how a place makes you feel, the people who create that feeling, and the memories you take with you afterwards.

And perhaps that is why my relationship with Iniala has become so meaningful over time. I have seen it change, I have shared stories from there, and I continue to be curious about where it goes next.
