I recently had a pleasure to be invited for incredible 10-day cruise, the Norwegian Epic, organized by SMSmondial, a trusted travel agent in Malta.
The journey was a perfect blend of exploration and relaxation, offering a rich tapestry of experiences across some of the Mediterranean’s most iconic destinations.
Our first stop was Catania, Sicily’s vibrant port city. With its backdrop of Mount Etna, Cataniaโs historic charm and lively markets provided an excellent introduction to the adventure ahead. After a day of exploring the ancient streets and sampling local delicacies, we sailed towards our next destination: Napoli. Napoli, with its energetic vibe and deep-rooted history, was a highlight. From savoring authentic Neapolitan pizza to exploring the cityโs stunning architecture, Napoli offered a perfect mix of culture and cuisine. We then cruised to Livorno, the gateway to Tuscany. Here, I took a day trip to Florence, where the Renaissance masterpieces and the stunning Duomo left a lasting impression. Next, we arrived at Civitavecchia, the port closest to Rome. A day in the Eternal City was like stepping back in time. I visited the Colosseum, strolled through the Roman Forum, and tossed a coin into the Trevi Fountain, hoping for a return to this magnificent city. After this whirlwind of history and art, a day at sea was just what I needed. I spent the day enjoying the ship’s amenities, the mesmerizing sea views, and a stunning sunset that painted the sky in hues of orange and pink. Our journey continued to Santorini, where the whitewashed buildings and crystal-clear waters of the caldera took my breath away. The following day, we explored Athens, soaking in the ancient history and vibrant energy of the Greek capital. Another day at sea followed, providing a perfect opportunity to relax and savor the last moments on the Norwegian Epic. Finally, we returned to Malta, bringing this unforgettable cruise to a close.
This journey was a perfect blend of discovery and relaxation, leaving me with memories to last a lifetime. Would I do it again? Most definitely! Hugely recommend it if you were thinking of amazing holiday idea.
